Project Summary
Promenade Park has a special place in the heart of many Toledoans, especially those who grew up attending the “Party in the Park” or “Rally by the River” events in the ‘80s and ‘90s. The park was chosen for development in 1975, and incorporates the Toledo Edison steam plant building and the Fort Industry Square complex, both of which carry a lot of history.
After several years of sitting idle, the park and its surrounding buildings was renovated by regional healthcare giant ProMedica, as they moved their headquarters into the steam plant building. The park now hosts a summer concert series, with plans for future events and an outdoor market.
ASL Stone was presented with the unique vision of MKSK to source and supply the project’s granite and limestone for treads, pavers, planter curb, and fountains. Our experience and expertise allowed us to facilitate innovative solutions for the precision paver work needed for this unique fountain.
